This two day Professional Update will provide a comprehensive background to the mechanisms for planning, designing and presenting a small-scale exhibition.

Topics to be covered include, lighting, 2d and 3d design, tips regarding how to effectively mount and  install objects into exhibition cases, object handling and basic conservation, planning for an exhibition or exhibition revamp, tips for basic label and text panel delivery and finally, how to market your exhibition.
 

The session will benefit from the insights and experience of professionals within the arts/ museum sector based in and around Canberra. Speakers will include Senior Exhibition Designer at the National Gallery of Australia, the Director of the Classics Museum at ANU and speakers from private enterprise.  This session provides a unique opportunity to update your skills, seek advice from leaders in the field of Exhibition design and to participate in hands-on workshops.
